Ces trois villages forment une entité désignée sous cette simple appellation: "GasteinerTal" ! Pendant des siècles les eaux thermales de la vallée de Gastein furent un mystère pour les populations. Dès 1950, des études et analyses scientifiques furent réalisées et fin du mystère. L'origine a un nom, le RADON, tant décrié par les populations vivant en de nombreux autres endroits affectés par ce gaz, populations qui, semble t'il, n'en connaissent guère les vertus !
Actuellement, les cures à Badgastein sont reconnues par la médecine classique comme étant très efficace. Statistique intéressante : plus de 70 % des curistes font l'objet d'une nette amélioration de leur état de santé !

Trois facteurs curatifs se conjuguent dans la galerie du Radhaus =
1/ la teneur en RADON est d'environ 4,5 nCl/l d'air,
2/ la température de l'air varie entre 38 et 41,5 °C
3/ l'air présente une humidité relative de 70 à 90% !
